East Goscote Village Hall is a registered charity, with East Goscote Parish Council acting as the Custodian Trustee. The role of the custodian trustee ensures the charity’s objectives are met but does not engage in the day-to-day running of the hall. This responsibility lies with the East Goscote Village Hall Management Committee, which is made up of a small team of dedicated members.
The committee meets approximately 4 times a year to discuss the work of the hall, including current and prospective user groups, maintenance requirements, and legal responsibilities. If you would like to be involved, please contact us for more information.
The hall is a spacious, multi-purpose venue equipped with a kitchen and accessible toilets. It can accommodate up to 95 people and serves as a vibrant community hub, hosting a wide variety of regular and occasional activities for all ages within the local area.
The committee is committed to maintaining the hall to a high standard, ensuring it remains a welcoming and efficient community space. In recent years, several renovation projects have been undertaken to enhance both the facilities and energy performance. The roof was upgraded with modern roofing sheets to improve thermal efficiency, and the toilets were fully refurbished in 2021. In 2023, the main hall was repainted and fitted with new Altro flooring, while the kitchen was repainted and retiled in August 2024. That same year, a Hearing Loop and PA system were installed with support from the Charnwood Borough Council Members Grant and the Awards for All programme. Most recently, in 2025, triple‑glazed windows were installed following a successful grant from the National Lottery Community Fund, and in early 2026 funding from the Edward Cadbury Trust enabled the installation of a suspended ceiling.
